Andrew Florea (American, 1975-) is an artist residing in Arizona. His oil paintings of the Southwest are permeated with his experiences alone in wilderness terrain as a young man. He has made multiple solo backpacking trips into rugged forest, canyon and mountainous landscapes, often with a small paint set in his pack. These years of solitary forays into the backcountry formed his inner artistic and philosophical vision. His primary focus in the studio at present is to depict the vast skies and desert colors of the American Southwest on canvas. Andrew lives with his wife and son in southeast Arizona.
