ABOUT TIC IKRAM
Tammy Ikram (known as Tic) is an American artist that has maintained a studio in the greater Los Angeles area since 2013. Her ensuing work with coastal gallery exhibitions, private collectors, and commissioned projects throughout Orange County and Hollywood, California has made her influential in the Southern California art scene. She has taught art privately in Orange County and London, England. Tic has exhibited in Orange County, Beverly Hills, and the World Trade Center in New York City. She has works currently on view in Laguna Beach and Shanghai, China. Her paintings can also be seen on Seasons two and three of Selling Sunset on Netflix.
WAVEFORMS EXHIBITION
Waveforms, the ambitious solo exhibition of Tic Ikram, is the culmination of three breathtaking collections. Each collection takes the viewer on a thrilling journey filled with fantasy, style, and elegance.
The story begins with an enchanted escape into the imaginative world of Floralscapes. Inspired by the fairy tales of Brothers Grimm, this whimsical collection immerses you into a world of dreamy gardens, vibrant palettes, and seductive visuals.
Your journey continues as you enter into the contemporary color-pop Aqua.Tic Elements Collection. Highlighted by colorful, aesthetic objects, Ticreimagines iconic shapes and structures and transforms them into striking, simplified forms.
Finally, you step into the minimalist, modern Collection of Echoes. The viewer encounters calm, serene paintings with rhythmic movements, delicate reflections, and balanced wave structures. With muted, Scandinavian palettes and iridescent linework, this exhibition will leave you both inspired and intrigued.

“The ‘Objector’ series is inspired by ongoing unfairness in our world. Each work addresses a particular subject where mans inhumanity to man is evident. I have carried this awareness from my early years in South Africa where the horrors of racism were flagrant and the subjugation of women was ubiquitous.I have chosen to look at these subjects obliquely and express my frustration at our collective failure to learn from history. I have presented each subject adorned with the words of others who have witnessed the struggles I represent in my art. I would like my artistic expression to reach the viewer through these works and prompt them to remain aware of these injustices.”
