Basia Sawa is a prolific artist whose creative oeuvre extends to visual arts, screenwriting, and poetry. Her paintings are part of private collections in the United States and Europe. She is a native of Poland, and made a difficult decision to emigrate because of martial law in her home country. Basia's work has been featured by leading periodicals in Poland. She earned her MA at the University of Opole in Poland. Basia and her husband Wojtek Sawa, a visual artist and filmmaker reside in Sarasota, Florida.
