Cristina Dalla Valentina is an Italian painter.
She started her artistic path many years ago, in a continuous experimentation that brought her from her initial figurative watercolors to present abstract paintings in acrylic and mixed media.
For Cristina painting is not the simple application of more or less refined techniques, but it demands a continuous research within herself. Brushstroke on brushstroke, layer upon layer, every moment brings its emotions: enthusiasm, doubt, discouragement, hope, joy... everything is part of her experience, everything is welcomed with compassion and kindness.
Cristina lives in Verona, an ancient wonderful Italian city, and since she was a child this splendor surrounded her, in a wonderful and inspiring blend of nature and art. Her paintings silently dialogues with those colors and those shapes from the past and from the present, and she knows that every brushstroke cannot escape the suggestion of what remained in her eyes and in her mind. In this way her self-knowledge finds a shape in a collective dimension beyond herself.
Cristina Dalla Valentina’s paintings are in private collections in Italy, United States, England, France, Spain, Australia.
