Hill considers herself a contemporary artist working primarily in an abstract-realism style, finding inspiration in the depth of colour and form in the natural world. In her series “The Path” the artist translates rural vistas and coastal landforms into a kind of visual vocabulary that is both captivating and serene. Through differing balances of colour, brushwork and paint application Hill dictates a visual roadmap of sorts on the canvas for the viewer to explore.
Deborah is a classically trained artist earning a BFA with a concentration in painting. Working as professional artist from her studio in Aurora NY she feels equally inspired working on a abstract landscape or a still-life arrangement.
