Elizabeth has been creating digital art since the age of 13, as computers and art have always been her passion. Her educational background spans many facets of design, art, and marketing. She holds a BFA in Interactive Media Design from The Art Institute, and a MS in Internet Marketing from Full Sail University. By profession, Elizabeth is a contract web/graphic designer & digital marketer; and also a former art/design professor, teaching web/design and marketing courses for 8 years before pursuing her fine art full time.
All Elizabeth’s pieces start with macro texture photography taken by Elizabeth, as she is inspired by textures that go unnoticed all around us. The picture is then combined with other pictures or textures, or an image that is meaningful to her, or the piece in general. Elizabeth uses various programs and apps to get the achieved look. The process involves “glitching”and distorting the photos first, then layering, blending, adjusting, and embellishing until she feels the piece is working well and completed. Elizabeth’s art reminds the world to slow down and appreciate the aesthetic nature of the world--the worlds within worlds.
Elizabeth's last name 'Warhol' is a family surname. As it is her mother's maiden name, her grandfather was John Joseph Warholof Minneapolis, MN (1924-2003). Elizabeth honors her grandfather's significance in her life through her art and by representing his last name. Although Elizabeth draws inspiration from Andy Warhol at times, she does not claim any relation or association with Andy Warhol.
