Kara Manza’s art work is described as happy and joyful. Her use of vibrant palettes, expressive brush strokes and a fanciful style have been influenced by her life of travel and adventure. She currently resides in Austin, Texas after thirteen years as an expatriate in Madrid, Spain, Monterrey, Mexico, Mexico City as well as living in Michigan, Connecticut and California. Upon retirement, Kara began taking painting classes at The Contemporary in Austin.
Kara has been inspired by her father, Terry Henline, who studied at Art Center College of Design in Pasadena, is a retired automotive designer for General Motors and a Signature Member of the National Watercolor Society. She loves her family first and foremost, which includes her husband, two adult daughters, son-in-law, and rescue dog, Mulligan.
Kara is passionate about volunteering and donates a portion of her proceeds to the Helping Hand Home for severely abused children in Austin, Texas.
