Kristine Lou Gargaritano ("KLEG") is a Canadian artist originally from Toronto, Canada. As a medical student she is based in Dublin, Ireland, where she is continually inspired by various landscapes throughout the country. Her process in creating art has always centered around the experience of playing with color and light as well as experimentation in artistic styles. Aside from her paintbrush, she can be seen using butter knives to create interesting textures in her artwork. She is fascinated by the way that colours peak through gaps in the overlying layers, adding other dimensions to the relationships between existing brushstrokes. For her, art is all about exploration: Exploration of color, exploration of the world, and of course, exploration of the viewer's eye within the world created on the canvas.
