Kacie Lyn Martinez is a multidisciplinary weaver on a journey to understand how individuals and communities heal, dream, and self-actualize. Martinez has worked internationally using art, facilitation, and organizational design to reimagine inclusive, safe, engaged communities with companies, shelters, LGBTQ+ groups, ecology centers, among others. Her conceptual practice spans fiber, poetry, painting, metalwork, and printmaking to weave together a highly personal visual vocabulary and identity landscape of her underworld. Kacie Lyn does this as someone who’s mixed race, mixed class, and queer, as someone who comes from a line of healers, weavers, domestic violence survivors, and traveling peoples. She is based in Costa Mesa, CA.
