Mariah Rupp grew up in Utah and interest in art began when she was young, then went on to pursue art and graduated with a B.F.A from Utah State University. She is intrigued by patterns and bright colors and has chosen a oral subject matter to explore them. Mariah enjoys working with owers and preserves their beauty by painting them. Using bright colors, layers and patterns to bring out the uniqueness and character of each ower. She paints freely and intuitively to capture the charm of the blooms. She is intrigued by the femininity found within owers and explores that within her brush strokes. The end result is a cheery, happy painting with a feminine touch of whimsy, evoking the presence she feels the owers brought into her home.
