Melissa Renee Art & Design “@fieryfordeepblue” is a Irvine - based contemporary artist creating resin, wallpaper murals, textiles & rugs. She has formal art training and received her Bachelor of Arts Degree from the University of Arkansas Little Rock. Growing up between two worlds, she was shaped by country living in the South, and sunny days spent at the beach in Southern California. The ocean captivated her heart, inspiring the name ‘fiery for deep blue.’ Her love of the water is expressed in her ocean inspired resin paintings on wood panels. It is the quote by Ralph Waldo Emerson, “Live in the sunshine, swim the sea, drink the wild air”, that influences her artistic expression. Although resin seascapes make up a large portion of the work she does, her work also reflects the vastness of nature with majestic sunsets, rolling foothills, mountain ranges, and romantic evening skies. She is a member of Dana Point Fine Arts and the Orange County Fine Arts.
