After spending many years as a landscape artist, I have gradually moved into the realm of abstraction. This has been an organic process for me. As I have observed the colors, shapes and movement of the natural word, I have come to understand the symmetry and balance inherent in nature. This realization led me to refine and develop my art into a more cohesive whole; into a more unified expression of our beautiful, natural surroundings. When I paint, I leave all distractions and negative influences behind and simply exist in the joy of creation and renewal of spirit. I hope my paintings can inspire these emotions in others so they may share in the same tranquility and peace I find in my art.
Pat grew up in southern California where she graduated from California State University at Northridge. As a military wife, she traveled to many beautiful and fascinating locations which have been the inspiration for her art. She now lives in San Diego, CA. where she is represented by several galleries including Kathleen Carrillo Gallery in Carlsbad, CA
