The Objector Series
“The ‘Objector’ series is inspired by ongoing unfairness in our world. Each work addresses a particular subject where mans inhumanity to man is evident. I have carried this awareness from my early years in South Africa where the horrors of racism were flagrant and the subjugation of women was ubiquitous. I have chosen to look at these subjects obliquely and express my frustration at our collective failure to learn from history. I have presented each subject adorned with the words of others who have witnessed the struggles I represent in my art. I would like my artistic expression to reach the viewer through these works and prompt them to remain aware of these injustices.”
