Sarah Warner is an internationally-collected visual artist who makes her home in the beautiful Sonoran Desert outside of Phoenix, Arizona. Sarah first experimented with art using ink and paint to doodle and dabble as a child. Upon becoming an adult, Sarah decided to take this playful style and pursue becoming a professional artist with intention. Through countless hours of experimenting on canvas and wood as well as enrolling in The Milan Institute of Fine Art, Sarah fully learned to embrace her quirky and playful style and create the art you see today.
“My art “rules” to live by: rich and juicy colors are a must. Anything can be used to apply paint if you’re committed. You can’t beat those vibrant inks, a little spattering of spray paint goes a long way and intuitive mark-making to tie it all together.
When I use markers, crayons, ink, etc. in my art, I like to channel the child within who has a lot to say. She’s not always nice and doesn’t always make sense but she gets to be heard which seems most important. This inner child has taught me that art doesn’t have to be serious to be excellent.”
On an average day, you’ll find Sarah in her home studio with an iced coffee in hand, music in the background, laying color on the canvas while simultaneously directing the joyful chaos of home with 4 lively children, a supportive husband, and one lively boxer pup. Sarah is inspired by her faith, the silliness and freedom of children, and the advent that her creative expression has become an amazing tool for personal growth and transformation.
