Educated at the University of Pennsylvania, Sharon is multilingual, an accomplished athlete and has traveled widely. She left the corporate world in 2001 following a 13 year marketing career to raise her children and pursue her passion for photography. Since then, her work has been featured in galleries, museums and libraries in the United States and Turks & Caicos. She regularly gives time and artwork to charitable organizations with missions that inspire her.
Working primarily in color, Sharon strives to capture images of strong yet simple subjects at a unique moment in time. She is a self-taught photographer and paints in acrylic and mixed media as well, in order to enhance her photographic vision and creative thinking.
The beauty of both the the land and its people sparked an immediate love for the Turks & Caicos Islands upon her first visit 8 years ago. Sharon has returned time and again, camera in hand, growing her unique collection of images. Printed on aluminum, acrylic or bamboo, these distinctive contemporary artworks are offered in both small and large formats. They serve as a striking reminder of the awesome beauty of Turks & Caicos and the natural world around us.
Sharon launched her online photography gallery, Sand Dollar Images LLC, in 2017. She has been honored to participate in the prestigious EC Gartland Youth Centre An Evening of Art since 2018. Her work has been featured on the cover of Times of Islands Magazine, in Turks & Caicos Magazine, across major social media platforms such as Coastal Living Magazine, Tropicals, Tropics Daily and she has a highly engaged social media presence. Her work can be found in private and corporate collections around the world, placed directly and through interior designers.
