Originally from Germany Tika has called Montana home for the last 20 years. She is a self-taught artist and has worked predominantly with collage for many years.
Now, she focuses on abstract mixed media collages and paintings that express a dance of composition, play and surprise. Layers and texture offer a landscape to the viewer that is open for discovery. Her work is often inscribed with writing or printed words that may reflect the particular subject of each piece and lend an air of mystery.
Her art is directly informed by years of studying the great wisdom traditions of this world. She is dedicated to studying and expanding beyond limiting perceptions so she can express the inherent beauty, elegance, and wonder of this world and let it shine through.
