Yat-Sing is an artist-architect born in Hong Kong - currently based in Hong Kong again after years of work in London, New York and the Caribbean. While traveling around the world with his architecture and project management career, he continues with his exploration in watercolor and alcohol ink painting. His works often centre around the topics of nature, materiality, memory, and time. Oscillating between figure drawing and action painting, his works orient towards abstraction, characterised by the use of a wide spectrum of colours, applied with varying painting techniques.
In 2018, Yat-Sing paired his painting with Chinese Antiques for his first solo exhibition “Mindscape Voyage” at Oi Ling Antiques in Hong Kong. The artist group “NuDD” founded by him also participated in “Manifesta 11”, The European Biennale for Contemporary Art 2016 in Zurich.
